Kids View
Kids View is a website linked to the Parliamentary Education Office that aims to challenge students to explore parliamentary principles in an engaging and educational setting. The site promotes exploration of five themes Representation, Law-Making, Democracy, Parliament House and Parliamentary Artefacts.
The interactive aspects of this website aim to make learning fun for students. The games are simple but provide insight into these areas of parliament. Teachers are provided with notes for each activity that can be used to turn it from an online game into an engaging and informative lesson for students.
Alongside the five areas (Representation, Law-making, Democracy, Parliament House and Parliamentary Artefacts) are the Fun Stuff and Teachers and Parents options. Fun Stuff allows students to go straight to a list of the games available (sorted according to the subject area they match). Teachers and Parents provides all the lesson notes sorted according to the area and game they correspond to. Both of these areas allow for the content to be accessed quickly.

Recommendation
Although a small site, Kids View promotes student interaction with a topic that many find hard to engage with. The games are simple for students and provide basic parliamentary information in a way they can comprehend. The site has had no modifications since 2005, meaning that it is a little outdated with the way students learn and is not aligned to the Australian Curriculum. For this reason I believe it to be a good tool for engaging with some aspects of this subject area, however would not base a unit around using the site.
